- What DNS servers should I use to point
my domain name to RackNebula?
To make your existing domain name point to
our server, you must contact your current registrar and change the DNS servers as
mentioned below:
Primary:
NS1.RACKNEBULA.COM
Secondary:
NS2.RACKNEBULA.COM
After you change the DNS servers for your
domain, it may take up to 72 hours for that change to propagate across the Internet.
During that time your domain name, and mail to addresses at your domain name, may direct
to either RackNebula or your previous web host. For this reason, we recommend that you do
not cancel your account with your previous host until you are certain the change is
complete.
- How do I transfer an exiting website?
Transferring your website to RackNebula will
involve multiple steps.
First, download all of your files from your current web server and make a note of all
email addresses.
Second, upload those files to your RackNebula account and recreate all email addresses.
Third, contact your registrar to change the DNS servers. Because changing the DNS servers
can take up to 72 hours to propagate, we recommend that you do not cancel your account
with your previous host until you are certain the transfer is complete.
- When are new accounts setup?
New Accounts are setup within 24 hours.
- Where will the account information be
sent to?
Account information will be sent to the email
address listed in the client information on the order form.
When submitting an order with RackNebula, do not use an email address that is at the
domain you are setting up an account for.
- Can I register or renew my domain through
RackNebula?
Sorry. We do not currently register or renew any domains.
If you want to register a new domain name you can do so by going directly to domain
registrars like godaddy.com, directnic.com etc. If you want to renew your domain, you must
do so by contacting your current domain registrar.
